Hi there,

Um this is going to be a vague reply from what I remember ad a few months later I cut all my hair off to get rid of the dye.

I made sure I combed my hair before washing. My hair was really prone to knotting because I had dyed it blonde and then later on red so it took a beating. I think my hair was more manageable when I got rid of shampoo than before though. Also the baking soda really dries your hair out and after doing more reading about it I never really used it again. The vinegar did help I believe though to comb through.

I ended up cutting my hair off because I wanted to completely natural again and this was after 8 months I think of no shampoo. My hair was just coming out of being super greasy I believe.

Hope that helps a little. It's been a good while since I used shampoo now...over 1 and a half years and my hair is growing back. It's a little long (I can put it in a pony) and it doesn't get knotty at all at the moment which is nice. I will have to see how it gets once it is longer though :)

Hi there,
Just came across your blog and I'm very interested to know about your baking soda/vinegar hair care. I've read about it but discounted it for me because I have incredibly long hair (to my knees). Your pictures look like you have long hair, too. I have been afraid to go without conditioner because it detangles my hair after washing. Was it hard to comb through your hair when only conditioning with vinegar? I'd love to hear your experience!

Hey,

Thanks for you comment. Always interested in looking into new books. The Eyebody is something you have to go to a retreat for so I never pursued it. I found a technique by someone that I have been trying with some success although it teaches differently to Bates in that you have to build up muscle strength in your eyes. Seems to be helping but it definitely it is a physical challenge. Thanks again :) Oh did you improve your eyesight working with a Bates teacher?

I don't know if this is relevant to you any longer. I did Bates for years with a very experienced teacher, which is very good but hard work. I haven't had any experience of the Eyebody material, but I do like the work of Leo Angart, whose book I found on ebay. This is similar to Bates, but I find it much easier to do, and it is working well for me. I particularly like the energy exercise which makes my eyes feel good whenever I do it.
All the best.

just came across your website. was looking for information on people having cravings on 801010 and what to do. Great info. I love Grahams book. I have been working with this for some months now. Just came off a 7day fast that was the absolute smoothest & easiest fast I've ever done. And now I'm on banana island. I love 801010! Thanks chica! Oh yeah, I just counted my calories for the day and haven't eaten enough. So having more bananas~

Hi Kylie,

Sorry for the late reply. Yes it is still working however as a nursing mother I have felt the need to add in a little more fat than before.

I understand your concern about the long term effects. All I know is that I feel great and have improved health and that is much better to me than my last diet so I have in faith in this way.

Hope it is working out for you.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your concern but since this post my eyesight has been measured and has improved. You are right that by just taking off your glasses your eyesight won't improvement but you are wrong that one's eyesight won't change no matter what you do. My PRESCRIBED eyesight is currently -2.00 at the moment. Thanks for your comment.

If you are truly a -3.50, you will never be able to meet the state's limits for driving without correction (usually 20/40 with one eye). I do agree with you that you feel you see worse after taking off your glasses. The idea is called blur interpretation, and when you don't wear your glasses your brain has to interpret blurry images all day. Your eyes seem to get "better" the less you wear your glasses. When you wear your glasses, your brain gets lazy at interpreting blurry images, and subsequently, you feel that you can't see very well when you take them off. At a -3.50, you probably see around 20/200 or slightly worse. That won't change no matter what you do. Your PERCEPTION of how well you see, though, will change as you do these activities and don't wear glasses.
